Santee Trip

It was great to start off our summer vacation with a little getaway to Santee. The weather wasn't extremely hot and most days there was a cool breeze which made catching some rays bearable. ;) Troy caught a 20 pound catfish, and the kids loved fishing off the dock for brim. The only negative part of the trip was I caught a cold from somewhere and boy was it a doozy! I am just now starting to feel better, so hopefully now I can get back to enjoying my summer vacation.

Preschool Graduation

I can remember the first day we dropped Dawson off for preschool. I can't believe he will be a Kindergartener soon! It's hard to come to turns with my baby getting bigger and growing up. I am so happy to see my sweet angel walk the stage so proudly!

Mother's Day Blessings

We cooked out at the church with Troy's family and watched the kids play some baseball. Later on, we went over to Mimi and Papa's house for more pictures.

Today was a joyous day as I celebrated another year being a Mom to my beautiful children. I can't express the joy it brings to be a mother. I never would have imagined the Lord blessing Troy and I with such wonderful and amazing children. The day started with Daddy letting me sleep in a little, and then I was awakened by the smell of breakfast. ;) As I walked into the kitchen Dawson yelled out "Happy Mother's Day Mommy!" He ran up to me giving me my card and his handprint painting he made in preschool for me. Mady just sat in her highchair with her mouth full of food grinning from ear to ear. Dawson and Madybelle got me a beautiful arbor with swing!!! After getting ready for church, we all went outside for pictures.

Yesterday was a great day at the ball field. Dawson played his best game yet and received the game ball!! His sister was right there watching him and cheering him on. :)

Dawson's 5th Birthday

Argh!! Let's go fishing Matey! What a wonderful day we had with family and friends at Pine Island today! Dawson's pirate party was a smash hit, and the weather was perfect. We all got a kick out of watching not only the kids, but the adults run around looking for the lost treasure. It was exhausting like all birthday parties, but well worth all the effort in the end. It's amazing to think that 5 years ago I was at home with a newborn baby for the first time in awe of this miracle that the Lord had entrusted to Troy and me. We would have never have imagined having such a delightful and fun-loving son. Dawson lights up our world everyday, and we are truly blessed to be called his parents.

My spring break started off with a blast by spending time with family at the zoo. We met up with our cousins Blake and Kayle and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

After celebrating our risen saviour at church we had a wonderful lunch with Troy's family. Then, we headed over to Mimi and Papa's house for our yearly Easter egg hunt. It was so much fun watching the kids run around trying to find their eggs.
