Christmas Memories 2012

Each year Christmas seems to fly by faster and faster.  My babies are growing up too quickly and I wish I could just slow down the process.  You can never truly understand this until you become a parent yourself.  It seems like I was just a kid myself walking into our family room and seeing what all Santa had brought us.  I love seeing my kids' faces as they light up when the walk in the room and see all their presents.

So thankful my children understand and truly know what CHRISTmas is all about.  I bought this book this year and they loved how Santa explained how the 1st CHRISTmas came to be.

Of course I took ALOT of photos this year again, but I couldn't help myself.  Just too many precious memories to capture and I never want to look back and regret missing all those moments of my kids growing up.

Pine Island's Meet & Greet with Santa

Two very excited kids to see Santa and tell him what they want. :)

Our sweet cousin, Linda was a great Elf!
Stuffed animals with a flower and sword balloon = double the fun!
Such a warm day for the first day in December but we will take it!

Prevatte's Christmas Card 2012

Each year we try new poses to be creative with our Christmas cards.  We have a very busy month ahead of us and each weekend is booked all the way up so I knew I had to get right on it with taking pictures to create our card.  The backyard was the perfect spot to take some great shots of us all! Since I had such a hard time choosing just one - I decided to do a mixture of pics. :)

 Mommy's sweet angels!
 She's such a sweet girl!

Such handsome guys!

Our Prevatte Christmas Card 2012! Wishing all our family and friends a blessed holiday season!

It's Beginning To Look Alot like Christmas!

It's hard to believe that another year has flown by and it's Christmas time again.  The kids were thrilled to see Mr. Jingles, our scout elf from the North Pole return.  Dawson has been writing notes for days to him up until his arrival the day after Thanksgiving.

When he arrived, he brought the kiddos some snow covered donuts with hot cocoa in mugs along with some new Christmas pajamas and socks.

He left each one a sweet note to start off this holiday season!

 Love Mady's sleepy look!

PAWS Cafe Winner

Dawson was super surprised to receive his 2nd PAWS cafe this past week.  He demonstrated the characteristics of being trustworthy, respectful and responsible.  Mommy and Daddy couldn't be more proud of him.  He got to enjoy a special lunch and movie with the other winners in 2nd grade. Way to go little man!
Super shocked and super excited!
My sweet boy!
Mr. Brown, assistant principal was there to congratulate Dawson :)

Dawson's 1st Report Card

Mommy and Daddy were thrilled when Dawson not only brought home his very first report card that included actual grades, but brought home straight A's on it!!!  He has been doing so well this year and he loves school.

Dawson on AFV!!!

I would have never guessed in a million years that one day any member of my family would be on a national television show, especially one that's our favorite!!! We watch America's Funniest Home Videos every Sunday night together.  It's like a family tradition.  I decided back in June to submit a video that I had of Dawson when he was 3 years old.  I was super shocked to receive the call last Monday night informing us that he was chosen for the cut! As the season premiere appeared, we continued the family tradition this time anxiously awaiting to see little man's video.  Here's an iMovie a made so you could see it. :)

Camping Trip 2012

Once again, we had a great time at Mile High Campground!  It's such a great family campground and there's so much around this area off the Blue Ridge Parkway for families to enjoy together.  We were so glad we were able to enjoy this time with our cousins. :)

Labor Day - NO WORK AND ALL FUN!

It was so nice to be able to sleep in and share this day off with my family.  Pretty soon these warm summer days will be over so we wanted to make sure we took the kids fishing before it got too chilly.  Thank goodness the weather cooperated with us and allowed us some fishing and even swimming time before the thunderstorms hit. Here's some of our high-light moments from fishing today. :)
The were so anxious to get into the boat!
I loved watching each time they caught a fish! Their little faces just light up with great joy and pride.
I could squish those little cheeks!
Mommy got in on the action too and caught one of the biggest fish I have ever caught. :)

Back to School

Summer flew by and before we knew it we were back in the swing of things starting a new school year.  I am really going through withdrawals from being home all day with my babies but I am enjoying getting to know my new students.

Dawson is now in 2nd grade and loving his teacher, Mrs. Addy.  Of course I knew he would.  It's been planned for Mrs. Addy to teach him since forever!
Mommy can't believe my baby is now a 2nd grader! So far though he is loving school and doing so well.  I love every minute of having him at school with me.  It's so nice to be able to see him or go grab a quick hug in the hallways.

We took the PLUNGE!!!

As if our summer wasn't exciting enough we decided to add to it by going all out and buying an in-ground pool.  We have always wanted a pool but we wanted to wait until the kids were a little older to enjoy it and develop a sense of caution with the water.  Now that they have, we felt it was perfect timing to "jump right in."  We are so excited and the pool is nearly done.  We still have to pour the concrete later on this week and work on the landscaping but overall we couldn't be happier with the results!  I was hoping I could blog along as the whole pool process was being completed but frankly it flew by and was done within a week.  I took more than a few shots so I made a slideshow of the whole process.

Cinderella's Royal Table

As a young girl, I have always dreamed of meeting all the Disney princesses so it was extra special to be able to do this with my own daughter.  Months ago we booked this breakfast at the castle and I am so glad we did.  It was well worth the money paid and I know Mady even though she's only 3 will remember this forever.  It was a great way to start off this Disney vacation as a family and even Prince Dawson enjoyed it.  :)

Pop Century Resort

We LOVED this resort and the cast members were exceptionally nice and courteous.  It was really like a home away from home.  Overall this trip was the best family vaca ever and we can't wait to return.  :)

Magic Kingdom - Where Dreams Come True

Magic Kingdom was our favorite place of all! We spent 3 days total here due to bad weather the first two days.  However, it didn't stop the Prevatte clan.  We trudged through and carried on and truthfully it wasn't so bad.  We never had to wait to ride any rides and on that last day we were able to get a lot of our photo opps done.  We fell in love with this park and especially with our kids being so young, but who am I kidding - it was my favorite too!! LOL! :)

Hollywood Studios - Where Action Takes Center Stage!

Of course all we've heard since cousin Blake has been back from Disney is that Dawson HAS to do the Jedi training and fight Darth Vader.  So, needless to say we had to make sure and hit that FIRST.  It was still rainy but we were hoping that by the end of the day it would clear up.  So as soon as those doors opened we all were running (literally) to get to the sign up.  Luckily we got there and were able to sign up - even on a rainy day it was packed here and this was a popular attraction.   So when time to show up for training they warned us that if the weather didn't improve the show would be cancelled.  The rain had been stopped for about 30 minutes so we thought we were in the clear.  Well as soon as they kids got in line and started handing out their tickets and putting their Padewan gowns on they rain started :(  Needless to say they cancelled it.  Literally not 2 minutes after they announced it though it stopped raining and the sun literally starting shining - I am NOT joking.  However, they refused to start back up the show and made us sign up again for a later one in the day.  They felt bad though and allowed all the kids to go backstage and personally meet Darth Vader.  Dawson LOVED this!! We were able to get a new time later on in the day.  The next time we came for the show, Dawson was second in line this time and was able to perform and fight Darth Vader.  Literally right after D finished fighting him, the sky opened back up and the rain started again.  The Lord was definitely looking out for us and we were so thankful Dawson was able to complete his #1 objective of the day. LOL!    I will try and post later the video of Dawson fighting Darth Vader and Dawson and Mady being chose as Junior Directors for Indiana Jones Stunt Show.  :)

Animal Kingdom

This had to be one of our favorite parks while at Disney! Let's just say we were born to be wild.  All the shows here are amazing and well worth the wait time.  I would have loved to have spent two days here but we got a lot accomplished in just the one day visit. :)

Epcot - Discover the World Park

From the time we went into this park, the kids were amazed at the "big golf ball" as they called it.  The weather had finally cleared up and we didn't need our ponchos anymore. The very best part of the day was the Illuminations show.  We were very lucky to find some great seats to enjoy it.  Here are some pictures from our time spent at Epcot.  :)
