Dawson's Baptism

Troy and I were overwhelmed with joy when Dawson came to us back in July and said he knew that Jesus was his Lord and Savior.  We are so thankful for how the Lord has worked in his young life and chosen Dawson as one of His own.  On top of that his cousins Tucker and Blake also were baptized on the same day making it even more special for all our families.

"Dancing Queen"

Mady started her dance classes this past Tuesday night.  As a mom of a little girl, I have dreamed of this moment when she would want to start dance and I am so happy when Mady begged to start.  She is pleased as punch and wishes that she did more than one dance class each week.  She loves, loves, loves it and can't wait to go on stage as you says.  LOL!  She is the cutest little dancer but I may be a little biased. :)

 I can't wait to see how much she learns this year and we are so thankful to be attending the Chosen Dance Academy.  They are really great Christian people and have great dance instruction.

Her first dance class was also on the first day of her preschool and when we left she said, "I am not tired at all Mommy!"  Well that didn't last long folks as you see below.  Love capturing sweet sleeping moments like this.

My Baby is in Preschool

The day has finally arrived where my baby is now in 4 year old preschool.  Mommy of course has shed many tears and is having a hard time with this, but I know it will pass with time.  I am so thankful that Madalynn is liking LOVING preschool.  She has been so excited to start and spent a lot of time picking out her own book bag, new clothes, and pencils to use.  The very first day she arrived she wasn't the least bit nervous or shy - this should not have surprised me with this youngin'.  She never meets a stranger.  I am so comforted in knowing that she is going to the same preschool that Dawson went to at her age and in fact the same teachers are still there.  At the end of the day she told us she wished it was longer and couldn't wait to do her homework, which is completely the opposite of how Dawson was.  LOL!!

 Mommy is being strong here to smile and not cry.  I couldn't help it though once I made it back to the car, they just started to flow.  My baby girl is growing up..sniff..sniff.  :(

 Mrs. Merri will once again take good care of our baby. :)

A New School Year Has Begun!

Dawson started 3rd grade back in August and he's really having a great time.  Of course, it is so nice having him on my hallway now and being able to see him at lunch and recess.  He comes up and gives me sweet hugs during the day and sometimes that's all Mommy needs to keep going.  I am soaking up every minute he is here with me at CSE because I know how fast time flies.  I am excited to see all the progress he will make this year.  He's such a great student and always aims to please.

 We are thankful to have not only a great teacher, but a great friend Staci Blakely teaching him this year.

Father's Day Blessings

I am so very thankful to have such a great Dad in my life.  He's the first man I ever loved and such a great role model.  I am also blessed to have the best father for my two children.  I couldn't ask for a more hands-on and loving Daddy to Dawson and Mady.  We celebrated with each other by grilling out and swimming.  :)

Children's Church Graduation

We had a great turn out Saturday for our pool party celebration for the older kids graduating from children's church.  It's amazing to see how much our church as grown and is still continuing to grow.

 It was such an awesome blessing to our hearts yesterday to have all the children sing and perform before the sermon.  They all did such a great job and it touched my heart greatly.  

 After singing, Pastor Barry presented each graduate with a brand new study Bible.

 Dawson and Tucker were very excited to receive them.  As a parent my heart is full knowing my children love the Lord and want to learn more about Him and how to serve Him.

2nd Grade Awards Day

Mommy and Daddy are super proud of our little man who earned 6 awards this year including all A's Honor Roll and Good Citizen of the Year!!!  I can't believe he will be leaving 2nd grade soon and my heart aches each time I think about how fast he and Mady are growing.

My greatest blessings call me Mommy!

As a little girl I often imagined and dreamed about being a Mommy one day and having a family of my own. I have an awesome Mom who has been such a wonderful inspiration for me growing up.  I thank the Lord each day for giving me such a loving and Godly woman to admire.   Each year as another Mother's Day passes I am in awe of how truly blessed I am.   My daily prayer is that Troy and I will lead and guide our children to love the Lord and put him first in their lives.    I am at the point in my life that I am the happiest I could ever be, and all my dreams have come true.  I can't imagine being more blessed.

Dawson Turns 8!

Can't believe another year has passed and my little man's birthday is here again.  We celebrated again at Pine Island - Dawson's choice again. :) He likes LOVES Pine Island and kids grow up so fast so as long as he wants his parties there we will have them there.  We have been very blessed to have great weather each year.  So thankful we could have our families and great friends celebrate with us.

Easter Fun 2013

We had an amazing Easter with our family.  I am so glad the rain held off too so we could enjoy our annual Easter egg hunt at Mimi's and Papa's.  The kids are growing up so fast.

Let's Play Ball!

It's hard to believe that spring baseball has started up again.  Last weekend was opening ceremonies and it's so hard to believe that my little man has started his last year of coach's pitch.  He's grown and changed so much in these last 3 years of playing, and Mommy and Daddy are super proud of him.
