Isle of Palms - missing you already!

Beach Trip 2010

We are back from the beach and I am already going through beach withdrawal! I miss the salty air, the sand between my toes, the walks on the beach, playing in the sand, the palmetto trees; you name it...I miss it :( I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach and could have stayed another week, but I am thankful for the time we had there though. It was perfect weather the whole time and after Monday the crowd of people was gone too. Mady was able to walk around now and play in the dirt with Dawson which she just loved. We came back with two new members of the family (Hermie and Crustina, the hermit crabs). I of course took so many pictures that it would be impossible to post them all. So, I made a photostory instead. :)

Fun on a blueberry farm!

It was our first time picking blueberries together and we had a blast! By the end of the trip I felt like we had eaten more than we picked. These were some of the best blueberries I have ever had. Dawson was persistent that he had to be the one to carry the bucket but the waist band was so big he had to carry it around his neck. :) We picked so many blueberries that I even had enough to make a 4th of July cake.

USC - 2010 National Champs

When we arrived at the Colonial Life Arena we did not realize how long the wait would be just to get through the doors. Luckily we were one of the last few they allowed into the lobby (fire marshall code) or our 2 hour wait would have been in the heat and that would have been pure torture! Once we were allowed to go inside the arena center everyone was rushing to get as close to the floor as possible. The closest we were able to get was the fourth row but it would have been awesome from any seat. :) Once the baseball players arrived and 2001 was playing it was nonstop chill bumps for me. I kept telling Dawson how important this was as Gamecock fans and for our state. He just kept wanting to know when will they play that game again and could he have more popcorn. :)

Santee Trip

It was great to start off our summer vacation with a little getaway to Santee. The weather wasn't extremely hot and most days there was a cool breeze which made catching some rays bearable. ;) Troy caught a 20 pound catfish, and the kids loved fishing off the dock for brim. The only negative part of the trip was I caught a cold from somewhere and boy was it a doozy! I am just now starting to feel better, so hopefully now I can get back to enjoying my summer vacation.

Preschool Graduation

I can remember the first day we dropped Dawson off for preschool. I can't believe he will be a Kindergartener soon! It's hard to come to turns with my baby getting bigger and growing up. I am so happy to see my sweet angel walk the stage so proudly!

Mother's Day Blessings

Four Generations of us!

We cooked out at the church with Troy's family and watched the kids play some baseball. Later on, we went over to Mimi and Papa's house for more pictures.

Mady letting Dawson smell a flower.

Today was a joyous day as I celebrated another year being a Mom to my beautiful children. I can't express the joy it brings to be a mother. I never would have imagined the Lord blessing Troy and I with such wonderful and amazing children. The day started with Daddy letting me sleep in a little, and then I was awakened by the smell of breakfast. ;) As I walked into the kitchen Dawson yelled out "Happy Mother's Day Mommy!" He ran up to me giving me my card and his handprint painting he made in preschool for me. Mady just sat in her highchair with her mouth full of food grinning from ear to ear. Dawson and Madybelle got me a beautiful arbor with swing!!! After getting ready for church, we all went outside for pictures.
